There are 1.2 million licensed real estate agents in the United States and when
you go to list your home it feels like you know half of them. Unfortunately,
only one can be chosen and the rest just disappointed.
For many consumers, buying or selling a home is the largest single business
transaction they will participate in. Shouldn’t the decision be based on who is
the most qualified professional to assist you in your transaction and not who
in your social circle do you wish to upset the least?
Even if you know a lot of real estate agents there may be others even more
qualified to assist you.
All real estate commissions are negotiable. Our ARCServ attorneys are in the
best position to negotiate the terms of your listing agreement. They know how
real estate agents perform for their clients over time – not just at a listing
presentation. They will negotiate hard on your behalf – something difficult for
a homeowner to do when the agent in question may be a friend or relative.
Perhaps most importantly – they review a large number of listing agreements and
have a factual basis for negotiating what the commissions should be. And when
you get that “´why didn’t you list your home with me?’ phone call” won’t it be
nice to be able to respond “I didn’t get involved in that, my attorney took
care of it for me.”
